MAGGIE STEIN
VP, ADVISOR SUCCESS
After growing up in a family with multiple travel professionals, I began my career in the luxury travel industry immediately after graduating College in 2009. This was a time when millennial advisors were few and far between in the industry, which I saw as a great opportunity for growth and innovation. Starting out as a travel concierge, I quickly learned the ins and outs of planning a highly detailed and personalized itinerary, and never looked back. With a focus on the modern traveler and providing them with fresh ideas, unique experiences and exclusive access around the world, ITKE felt like the perfect fit for me to continue evolving in the travel space. Over a decade later I still thrive off the excitement of helping clients to plan their dream vacations, but I also am able to put much of my energy into mentoring and training our amazing independent advisors to learn the industry and grow their own businesses.
FAVORITE DESTINATION I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Indonesia is such an amazing destination that provides a true mix of beach, jungle, adventure, relaxation, culture and nightlife. Basically any kind of traveler could find what they are looking for there!
HOTELS I WISH I LIVED IN: Palazzo Avino in Ravello, Vines Resort & Spa in Mendoza, Belmond Cap Juluca in Anguilla, Amanpuri in Phuket.
DESTINATIONS ON MY RADAR: Rwanda, Slovenia, British Colombia, Oman, Australia.
ON MY BUCKET LIST: Doing a completely food and wine focused trip through Italy to taste the specialties of each region and also learn to cook the dishes like a local.
WHAT I CANNOT TRAVEL WITHOUT: Noise cancelling earbuds, a tinted SPF lip balm, Compression socks, and my own pen for filling out forms!
BEST TRAVEL ADVICE: When traveling to a foreign destination, I always recommend booking a tour guide for your first full day instead of waiting until later in the trip. That way, you can get a thorough orientation from the start, instead of winging it on your own and missing out. Also, you can pick their brain for great tips and local suggestions to use during the rest of your stay.
THE REASON I DO WHAT I DO: Travel, entertainment, good food and great experiences are what everyone works hard to be able to include in their lives. I am lucky enough to have a job that revolves around these things and making them realities for others. What’s not to love?
MY SPECIALITY: Getting to know my clients’ personal taste and interests and then being able to match them up with the destination or hotel that’s perfect for them.
